David Rodgers is a Nashville-based pianist, arranger, composer, and Nord Keyboards artist, recognized for his versatility across jazz, pop, and commercial music. He has performed and recorded with artists including Peter Frampton, Keb' Mo', Taj Mahal, Ricky Skaggs, Gavin DeGraw, Joss Stone, Ben Rector, Gabby Barrett, and Kirk Whalum, and contributed to dozens of recordings, including Keb’ Mo’s Grammy-winning Oklahoma (2019). His international performance credits include the Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, and Playboy Jazz Festival.
As a composer and arranger, Rodgers’ work spans genres and mediums, with music featured on ESPN and the SEC Network, as well as the critically acclaimed Netflix sitcom “Leanne,” now in its 2nd season.
From 2024–2026, he served as Artistic and Executive Director of the Nashville Jazz Workshop, guiding the organization through a pivotal leadership transition during its 25th anniversary season. Overseeing a $650,000 budget, he strengthened financial sustainability while expanding programming, including the launch of the inaugural Nashville Jazz Festival in 2025.
Rodgers holds piano performance and commercial composition degrees from Vanderbilt University (B.M.) and Belmont University (M.M), and is the author of Modern Etudes, a collection exploring contemporary improvisational approaches. He has released three albums as a leader—Songs for a Generation (2017), Doorways(2019), and Home (2025)—reflecting a career that bridges high-level artistry with creative leadership and strategic vision.
